Rebecca Collins-Thompson approaches art as expression and is deeply engaged in the creative process in all its forms. She approaches modelling as a performance art, offering her body and form to realise an artistic vision. She has sat for life and portrait sessions, both for classes and private studio work, been the canvas for body painting pieces, posed for fashion and fine art photography, and contributed to art film and theatre projects.
Rebecca is trained in classical dance, giving her an elegance in her poses as well as a good understanding of the human anatomy, muscle tension, movement and transfer of weight, which she brings into dynamic and contrapposto posing. She has recently be studying painting herself at Central Saint Martins, so understands the importance of using shape, light and colour to create intrigue and emotional depth.
Rebecca has an affinity for surrealism and its ties to psychological exploration and occult practice, using art as a way to connect to our inner world, intuition and freedom of expression. She believes in art as a vehicle for change: as a way to make sense of the challenges we experience throughout our lives and the turbulent times we live in, or simply to express joy in the face of hate.
